<<<In my opinion, AOL and Microsoft.com will be the dominant>>>

Smart Investor, at the very begining, let me say that I am long MSFT, YHOO as well as AOL. Whereas I do support your reasoning for AOL, MSFT is another matter. See the article in Motley's Fool about MSFT and you'll understand what I mean.

In addition to that, are you saying that we should forget about diversification within internet and keep all our eggs in one basket (AOL) ? And if not, then which one except YHOO would provide for diversification?

<<<It will take a lot more than a few unique items that AOL offers for it to survive. They need to fix that lousy front end , lower the cost, or add more hours, offer full net access, stop censoring, etc , etc, etc. They wont go out of business but they are not worth $ 30 a share either.>>>

Does this sound like you SI ? It was Mark The Trader in August of 96. I bet he got indigestion eating his hat !
