I think all it really does is extend BCE's brand name to Mpact - I think there's considerable value to that. Perhaps it contributed to today's volume.

I hope you didn't gather that CGI owns a stake of Emergis based on my previous comment re CGI's acquisition of IST in 1996. I don't believe there's any formal corporate relationship between CGI and Mpact, other than both being in the BCE family of companies

From my understanding, there wasn't a secondary offering of CGI shares on the NYSE - only that existing shares could be traded there. The Mpact situation on Nasdaq may be different and involve a secondary share issue.
