Nice little run today.

Even though MSFT is my largest options position, it generally lagged
AOL, Dell, Lucent, Cisco. Trying not to be overly exhuberant, because
exhuberance can very quickly followed by a capital loss if profits are not taken.

We still have some aces in the hole with Microsoft:

1. Trial begins again after the holidays with MSFT on offense.
2. Judge might say more remarks to spark another rally.
3. Netscape/AOL deal closing, creating more news (might be good for
a point or two)
4. Earnings, Earnings, Earnings.
5. Split? Seriously doubt it, but worth holding through the
earnings announcement to find out.
6. Early January buying.

Like I say, if no split, and the earnings don't surprise the
whisper by at least a nickel, I'm out o these options pronto.
Looking to get highly defensive 3rd week in January.
