Blain,

Thanks. I just downloaded the demo and I'm trying to figure it out. Mucho features (where's the bathroom?).

I'll let you know what I think after I get used to it a little...

I've used the voice recorder function a few times now. It seems you have to hit the "record", "stop recording", and "hang up" buttons in the right order and at the right times to prevent the line from staying open after you have hung up the real phone. My modem doesn't support "speakerphone", so that could be part of the problem.

I did successfully record some conversations, and they came out very clear. Nice to at least be able to do this--and it didn't cost me anything (so far). What usually happens is, by the end of the conversation I forget I have the utility running and just hang up the phone. This seems to mess up the program, because the phone line stays open and even shutting down the Communicator program won't close the phone line. I have to reboot. Of course this is avoidable by stopping recording and clicking "hang up" before hanging up the phone. It makes me wonder, though, why they couldn't make it more fool-proof.

Thanks again,
wily
