Seattle, Washington, Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Amazon.com Inc.
insiders, including Chairman and Chief Executive Jeff Bezos, sold
430,000 shares worth $61.5 million as the online retailer's stock
soared on optimism about sales during the holiday season.

Bezos, who founded the company in 1994, sold 180,000 shares
worth $23.2 million for prices ranging between $126.93 and
$129.92 a share on Nov. 2. He owned 9.9 million shares as of
March 1, or 41 percent of the total outstanding, before the
company split its stock 2-for-1 on June 1. He still owns 19.6
million shares worth about $4.75 billion.
