Mike:

As far as QP2- it is not in beta testing. Release 2.1 is in final beta test stages but 2.0 was released for sale some time back. You can go to www.qp2.com for all the good info.

I talked about how the upgrade was not handled very well. You really have little choice but to upgrade. I just upgraded to QP2 about a week ago. It takes a little time to figure out how to write the scans but it isn't that difficult. It does allow you to be more flexible on scans. My scans are pretty basic too. The main advantage I am getting now is that when I scan the stocks in QP2, I can check for number of days of stock data on a stock and adjust for younger stocks. QP1 did not have this ability and if you were checking back 200 days and a stock was only 60 days old, it would ignore it. Here is an example:

***********************
QP1:
AllGroup
Exchange Nyse,Nasdaq,Amex
Max(0, -20, hi)>=Max( -21, -499,hi)*.95
************************
QP2:
integer StartIndex, Days2Year;
DaysToload=500;
DaysRequired=30;
StartIndex:=DaysLoaded-1;
Days2year:=499;
if StartIndex<Days2Year then //check if less than 500 days loaded
Days2Year:=StartIndex-1; // set to # of Days loaded if <500
endif;
If Max(0,-20,hi)>=Max(-21,-Days2Year,hi)*.95 then
println Symbol;
endif;
**********************************

QP2 is more work, but it can do much more. With help in this thread, you shouldn't have any trouble converting your scans. It also sounds like the beta(2.1) will scan much faster. I don't have the beta now and my QP2 scans take about the same as with QP1.
