Cringe,

Re: " I expect the K6-3 to be 25% less than a same clock speed Katmai."

Cringe, what happens if AMD can't get the K6-3 up to 500mhz (where the
Katmai starts at). Will AMD be forced to price the K6-3 against the PII or
even worse ... the CeleronA ??

Make It So,

cirruslvr, What a difference a day makes, <GG>
For some time AMD has actually being sold at a premium to the celerons as Intel was forced to drop the celeron to equalulize the system costs attributed to the extra board and socket costs.
This may be due to the operation of the spot markets and the list price to OEMs may well be less than celeron?

<Katmai was supposed to be released on February 28. Today an article came out infoworld.com that states Katmai will be released March 1!!! ... That day will cost Intel over a billion dollars!>

Thanks for the laugh. Looking at my calendar, February 28 is a Sunday. Maybe I should come to work on that Sunday. My added productivity should help Intel recover some of that billion dollar loss.
