Looks like management presented a good outlook for 99 and we may now be seeing the end result in the analyst community. It also looks like ITWO has consolidated its hegemony in SCM, SAP's efforts are hamstrung and now with MANU's poor earnings. The confluence of positive factors have shown up in the stock price. Manugistics: 'Terrible, terrible' quarter Software developer says it's on the block cbs.marketwatch.com biz.yahoo.com Manugistics says in talks with partners ROCKVILLE, Md., Dec 22 (Reuters) - Manugistics Group Inc., which makes inventory management software, on Tuesday said it was in talks with potential business partners, as part of an overhaul plan. A year earlier, the company's net income was $3.8 million, or $0.14 a share. Third quarter revenues jumped 2 percent to $43 million, versus $42.2 million a year ago. Software license revenues, however, dropped 33 percent to $15.4 million in the third quarter, versus $23 million in the same quarter last year. Manugistics reported a net loss of $22.4 million, or $0.85 a share for the nine months ended Nov. 30. He said clients were making decisions more slowly than in the past, which was hurting the company's performance. He added, though, that some of those clients were making decisions that were leading to new business. ''We are continuing preliminary discussions with other companies concerning a potential business combination,'' Gibson said about the plan to boost the company's efficiency and performance. Gibson said the company would decide which direction to take in January. _______ I'll see you guys in the new year, happy holidays. regards, denis
