stockhouse.com Microforum [MCF:TSE] -- Enters Elite Group MCF had more great news today, announcing their iFront division has been welcomed into the Microsoft Certified Solution Provider (MCSP) Alliance. Through its participation in the alliance, iFront can directly target Microsoft's 18,000 MCSPs on Microsoft channel with unique offers on its e-commerce products. Currently, the iFront(R) ECS(TM) suite of e-commerce applications is being featured on Microsoft's private Web site dedicated to MCSPs. The significance of this development may not be obvious at first, but those familiar with the MCSP program realize this is opens up tremendous opportunities for MCF. Their e-commerce products will now be marketed with the direct help of Microsoft [MSFT:NASDAQ] to leading high-tech companies around the world. In fact, the recent deal with Sony is already evidence of this new status as it came together via the original efforts of Microsoft. The Insider Report has noted before that MCF was a "Microsoft Certified Solution Provider", but that should not be confused with today's announcement. As an MCSP, iFront was one of 18,000 hardware, software and service companies sanctioned by Microsoft. As members of the "MCSP Alliance", iFront now moves into an elite group of 100 companies which are recommended by Microsoft to the wider MCSP group. In the words of Juan Vegarra, director, worldwide MCSP program at Microsoft, "The MCSP Alliance was created to help MCSPs maximize their relationships with other leading hardware, software and services companies. Internet Frontier has a product, the iFront(R) ECS(TM), that is complementary to Microsoft offerings and that will help MCSPs save money on their cost of business. We are pleased to have Internet Frontier on board as a participant of the MCSP Alliance." It's always nice to hear words of praise from and industry giant... MM
