New Delhi--Dec 22--India will continue to have a strong appetite for
gold with imports in 1999 seen topping 800 tonnes versus some 750 tonnes in
1998. No other country in the world imports as much gold as India, with the
US trailing a distant second with annual imports totaling some 350 tonnes.

Yes, Bobby, I've been suspecting these things for some time.
Were you aware there is a "shortage" of Silver Eagles? Anywhere I can find them charges a monster premium over the spot silver price. I have heard two different stories about why the shortage exists. Both end with "but more will be available in Feb. ". One has something to do with a shortage of silver blanks, the other something to do with mold problems. at any rate, there is a shortage.
Now, there is a "temp." shortage of natural gas, but the price remains unchanged????
