August, Yes... I've shut down to the bare minimum of lights on the odd occasion when I've been on my way home from the city. I tend to take to the backroads because I know every mailbox, bump and curve along their length and can navigate with a very bare minimum of light and visibility... Also very unlikely to encounter "opposing forces" travelling in the opposite direction... I kind of like to imagine more of a "Silent Running" screenplay as I swoosh on through the dark night in my 4X4... I guess it's a case of every man, woman and crocodile having their own preference in spaceships and screenplays... ;-} Croc
