Re: "Poor Elmer. Not understanding the difference between theoretical capacity (based on clean room space) and actual capacity (based on the amount of processing equipment in a fab)."

Here's what Petz wrote.

"AMD has far more wafer capacity than they are using now"

Does this sound like he's talking about empty floor space? I would think the term "wafer capacity" would imply wafer capacity. Don't you think? If he's wrong so be it, but that's what he claimed.

Kevin,

Re: " Not understanding the difference between theoretical capacity (based
on clean room space) and actual capacity (based on the amount of processing
equipment in a fab) ..."

Kevin, are you saying that MegaFlop25 (tm PREngel) is only partially
filled ... Did Maxwell give you this "double secret" information ?? No
wonder why AMD is losing money each quarter (except for the 1 cent profit <ggg>).
Haven't you heard about something called "economies of scale" ?? Kevin, does
this mean that AMD is "demand constrained" ... I thought the K6-2 was
supposed to be selling like "hotcakes" !!?? <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef

Kevin - Re: " between theoretical capacity (based on clean room space) and actual capacity (based on the amount of processing equipment in a fab). "

And just how much "empty" clean room space does AMD have available in Fab 25?
