Jack Metcalf, Republican Congressman from WA 2nd District, voted for all four Articles of Impeachment and was pro-impeachment even before the Lewenski story broke. His district is a swing district. He is very vulnerable in 2000. If Jennifer Dunn (WA 8th) wants to run for Senate in 2000 to replace Slade Gorton, her vote on impeachment will be an albatross around her neck. Same for Nethercutt (WA 5th) who may want to run for Governor in 2000.
