Scumbria - Re: " If Katmai is coming out at 500 MHz, AMD needs to stay close to keep their ASP's up."

No "IF" about it - March 1, 1999 will be the launch day for the 450 and 500 MHz Katmai or Pentium II Enhanced PCs.

Scumbria,

Re: "The concern for AMD remains clock speed ... AMD needs to stay close
to keep their ASP's up."

This is exactly correct, Scumbria ... Please see my post to Cringe -->

"Cringe, what happens if AMD can't get the K6-3 up to 500mhz (where the
Katmai starts at). Will AMD be forced to price the K6-3 against the PII or
even worse ... the CeleronA ??"

Make It So,
