Yes...what you are saying is true Jerry. When the board of directors approves a stock split they have in effect approved an increase in the outstanding shares. This is how a split comes about. Nothing really changes. The stock price is split....the shares outstanding increases and the market capitalization stays the same. At least at the moment of the split. See ya.
