>>>I'll be at Publix shopping for food on the Jan 1,2000 and
it will be open and business as usual.<<<<

Think there's a chance they'll be closed for the holiday weekend? Better stock up, eh?

To all: Anyone see the movie "Trigger Effect"? (Mid-size city losses power for 10 days or so. Everyone grabs a bottle of wine and goes over to a friends for some Scrabble and Yahtzee. Partytime; everbody's mellow. Until the food starts running low. And people get tired of each others peculiarities. And the formerly fun no lights anywhere campout effect starts to suck when people are moving around in your backyard.) Kind of a cool show; especially for those who have any interest in (possible) Y2K ramifications.

I will leave you with this benign thought: I pray that you and my other optimist friends are right. I mean that! If I am right, then I very well may lose my parents in the chaos and am not thrilled at the prospect AT ALL!
