Dave, I'm as lost on this as much as you. According to what I have heard, NTT DoCoMo will be using completely new spectrum for their 3G rollout. As such they would not need to use the TDMA mode to share spectrum with other services. Someone mentioned that they might use this mode with their PDC or PHS system(I don't know which). But again, this means that they would be implementing their 3G system on existing spectrum, something I didn't think they were doing. Walt
