Jon, I get the 60% based on the average margin for this kind of device. The parts that go into a Palm Pilot aren't worth a "drop of pi$$" to borrow a term from a friend. You've got a cpu that costs about $15 in lots of 1,000. You've got a case, probably $10 (tops), a screen that's probably on the order of $20, some ram, and miscellaneous ciruitry, and circuit board, another $40.. so let's see we are at $85, add the buttons, labor, etc. and we are at about $130, add another $20 for packaging and shipping and we've got about $150... even allow for error there is easily 60% margin on this device.
