Yes , he was voted out. I do not think that necessarily means he was "hated" . Plenty of folks did not like his politics but did not "hate" the man.

I can't judge Reagan against Carter other than to say A good fig tree will bear figs, or else it is worthless but for kindling.

I did not vote for or appreciate Jimmy Carter. But he has been the best x president of the modern era. He was not a great manager. But he was honest, cared for the country very much, and was not a severe partisan. I would like to know his inner thoughts on Bill. Jimmy's
lust in his heart comments are just the comments of almost any man about other women. He was and is an honest, moral person.
