Boy, has the trading pattern changed for CPQ! It used to be up in the early AM, followed by weakness, then half-hearted rallies and disappointing finishes that trailed off. Now we have strength at the day's end. I LIKE IT! Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do with my CPQ 30 LEAP calls, expire 1/2000? I paid 5 3/8 for them last spring.

JB,
My calls have been bad lately. But!! IMHO MMs may have their portfolios decorated for Christmas. Now they will relax and look for a few bargains before the long week end. Do last minute Christmas shopping, and attend some great parties. Think we will drift until next week. Good chance of a slow week between the Holidays. After the first, it is a whole new ball game. Time to play with the new money coming into the fund from 401Ks and IRAs. CPQ should be a hot property then with earnings coming out shortly.

"Well well well. Looks like CPQ is going to close unchamged after being down for most of the day. Interesting. Does this end of day buying mean we will be up in the morn?

jb"

The answer is pretty obvious: maybe
