>>IBM Shares Reach New High As Salomon Ups Target

NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--International Business Machines Corp. (IBM) shares rose to another high after Salomon Smith Barney raised its price target on the stock.

Salomon analyst John Jones said he raised his price target on the stock to the range of $210 to $215 a share, up from $180 a share.

IBM shares were recently trading up 2 7/8, or 1.6%, to 179 1/4, surpassing a high of 178 15/16 set Monday.

Jones said he thinks IBM's mainframe business is due to grow 11% from a year ago, and that the PC business is "on the mend."

"We now believe IBM has paid its dues," Jones wrote in a research note.<<

hell just make the target $500 and get it over with
