Marshall,

Glad to hear others had a day like mine! My sympathies. Seems everywhere I look, folks had a great day-UBID, MALL, IMAL. I too had trouble selling with Schwab. They have only failed me one other time, but the losses have been significant. I decided tonight after spending all day kicking myself, I will not trade for first 1/2 hour! If I miss out, I miss out, but at least I won't lose out $. A small gain is better than no gain and far better than a loss. Now to decide what to do with shares of MALL at open.

Have also been checking into other brokers and MB looks promising. Could you clarify
MB is less expensive if you make less than 25 round trips/mth since they prorate the software.
Don't understand about round trips and wasn't aware of sorware.

TIA- MMK

Schwab - more news

I traded out of MALL again today in the same type of fast market as yesterday where I got screwed but this time I got almost instant confirmation - so how did I do it?

Yesterday, through the Web, I put in a sell order for the same number of shares at the same time and got a 10 minute execution with a resulting $7.00 drop in price. Today, when I wanted to sell, I called the broker, paid the full commission, and got my price with less than 10 sec confirmation - while I was on the phone.

Moral, in these kinds of fast markets, forget the web and call the broker. But something is still fishy.
