Interesting article in December98 issue of Scientific American has Ciena on page 17.

Excellent advice IMO, sunfish. FWIW, I consider myself a member of a special group of investors having, in fact, owned a stock to zero (well 9 cents and halted on news of planned bankruptcy, currently). That one's fine with me, though; an outstanding lesson all the way through and not much invested to begin with. I do feel sorry for those who owned the stock from the mid-$30's which, fwiw, is the price at which my (former) broker said he got his mother-in-law into the stock. I'll bet their holiday family gatherings are "interesting". Regards.
