The resultant mess that they will get entangled into I think it generally just the moderate Republicans who are in a mess. I undertand a dozen or so are advising the Senate to vote censure before a trial. Now I agree, in fact I would like them to just drop the matter, censure is too much like one of these I want the last word arguments. They should, convene the Senate, call for an immediate vote, and drop it However these congressmen who called home and checked the polls and want to back out are most likely going to be looking for a new job. Republicans thinking that they can STILL win this one As to the other republicans, the Radical Republicans, I think they still think they can win. Maybe not this issue, but win the big one where they take over the country and make it a fundamental christain country. They will likely go back into stealth mode, reinvigorate inflamatory issues like abortion, and try again another day. TP - They'll be back
