<PS I'm new to the SI forum, is this type of posting within normal etiquette?>

Etiquette !!?? Robert, you are definitely not here long enough. This is the Coms' thread - undoubtedly the roughest and toughest in SI. No bar hold - more exciting than the WWF. Don't let the current apparent friendlyness fool you <g>.

Bob,

I am a newbie myself and I already had a one helluva fight and it was quite fun. Relax and enjoy SI. Most people here are quite nice and helpful(say about 95%)- and I am one of those other 5% <gg>

Too bad you are on wrong side of COMS. Hope you can get out without bleeding too much.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask, I'll do my best to help ya.

Welcome aboard Bob!

Bob

Welcome to the thread!

Your assessment is very possible. IMHO I believe the new trading range for 3Com will be 45 - 55. COMS should run up into the low 50's. If it does we should base build and then go quite a bit higher with the near term high (1 month) the low 60's like you suggested . If the stock pops up to the mid 50's in the next week I think it will go higher than I expect.

A lot of people and institutions want to re-own this stock and the fundamentals support that.

On a related note to some posters Cisco's current run rate is in excess of $12 Billion a year now!

Regards,

Eric

boo hoo, where is my $55?

Excellent analysis Bob, looks like you were the only one who guessed today's action correctly (you had the right idea at least).

Looking at a price movement similar to JBL's recent pricing after better than expected earnings. Huge open to 52-53 with a quick retrace to 49 early next week followed by the long term growth to your $60 target within 4 weeks. Do you agree on this price movement?

By the way did you cover your short this morning?
