Ingram could be losing "share". Traditional
distribution is losing out to direct. So this
announcement could simply be a validation of
this trend.

>>3 weeks ago, the CEO of Ingram was on CNBS calling for 15-20% growth in pc
sales and for Ingram to beat the industry rates by a huge amount, as usual. At the
time, I commented that I was saddened that a usually sober and honest company
had been co-opted into the Xmas lies. And for them to be proven totally wrong or
worse so soon is even sadder. <<

yeah, but mike, this shows how good you are. since cpq isn't interested in your supposed analysis then maybe ingram will be.

HO HO HO HO HO HO HO!!!!

of course, this is a company specific issue... ho ho ho ho ho!!!

hey, this is kinda early. i expected the hype orgy to continue into january...

I hit several stores this week (Fried, CPU, CC, OMX, ODP). Plenty of crowds in the software section. A fair amount of traffic around the printers. Scanners are just about sold out- too bad they were priced so low that no one makes a profit on them.

Hardly a soul in any of the computer departments. In Compusa, the Apple section was completely dead. Are all those Imac buyers loading up with the PC emulation software and buying PC software? Will Imacs be the next trend in cool aquariums next year?-g- So I bought some AAPL leap puts.-no g-

All this in and around Fort Worth.
