And though contained in this iteration, the exploit of this NT vulnerability seems to be a qualitative step forward <?> in virae sophistication, however:

Exactly my point.

As you previously recognized, circuit switched networks - while sharing similar occasional equipment malfunction vulnerabilities with packet networks - largely avoid the malicious vulnerabilities of data networks. This is a distinct liability among benefits in the inevitable convergence of voice into data networks.
