You got that right. Best way is to look at sales growth over quarter to quarter, not year to year like in other companies. It's is good when a company owns another company going IPO but again you have to evaluate what they own because not all net stocks are going to go to the moon. CMGI is probably the best play since they will have at least 4 IPO's come out that they own a significant portion of, and you figure a couple should do pretty well.

eBay auctions up significantly overnight.

Auction count back up to around 960,000.

I would estimate that 10 to 20 percent of this is due to the addition of 14 day auctions.

However, it is clear that sellers are eager to get moving again. Auction count may exceed 1 million by Friday.

Note: This does NOT mean I think eBay's stock price is reasonable, but the auction count is definitely rebounding.
