Target for 1999!!!!
When you look at the fitness industry you have to break it into three categories. Cardio, Strength and accessories. For most of the 90's people have been sold a dream or aerobised themselves into the ground. The re education of the masses began with Soloflex, Healthrider , Bowflex and Total Gym by converting the average person towards combined strength/aerobic training. The conversion from
$ 20.00 items, to $ 149.00 took place in the early 90's. T.V then brought the buyer from 149.00 to 999.00. The problem is many of the products sold over T.V. don't work. The positive for Bowflex is that it does work and sooner or later the unhappy orphans will here from a satisfied Bowflex user and the cycle continues.
Enough already here's my point! Total Gym sold around 100 million US dollars last year of a $ 199.00 gym. That's 500,000 units. Never mind this year's sales around 75 million. These people bought into the strength training concept but just bought the wrong product. Where do you think they will go. Bingo!!!!!!
Do the Math! 500,000 + new buyers for the bowflex X 999.00 US = 500 million in sales just from converts. Add to this the regular advertised buyers, referrals, new product sales. This could be a billion company within three years. Spread those wings DFX Santa's coming to town!!!!!
