David Coursey Announces 23
Companies Chosen to Demonstrate at
Digital Living Room Pavilion at CES

Companies Represent Microcosm of CES Exhibitors in One Special Demo
Area

SAN MATEO, Calif., Dec. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Amidst the nearly 2,000 exhibitors and throngs of
electronics buyers scheduled to attend next month's 1999 International Consumer Electronics Show
in Las Vegas, 23 companies will represent what industry pundit David Coursey sees as the best of
what CES has to offer in 1999. Coursey will showcase these companies and their latest products in
a special area on the show floor called David Coursey's Digital Living Room Pavilion at CES.

Produced by the Consumer Electronics Manufacturers Association (CEMA), CES takes place Jan.
7-10, 1999 in Las Vegas. Coursey, Upside Events and CEMA have teamed up for the first time to
extend the Digital Living Room conference to CES.

David Coursey's second annual Digital Living Room conference is scheduled for June 20-22, 1999
at the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point, Calif. For more information, visit www.digitallivingroom.com.

David Coursey hand-picked the 23 exhibitors for the DLP Pavilion at CES, which include
technology giants such as Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, Eastman Kodak and Hitachi, in addition to
young Internet companies including 800.com, Liquid Audio and JAMtv. Companies selected for the
Pavilion also will be able to conduct on-stage product presentations on a small stage in the Pavilion
area. Exhibiting companies include:

800.com * LEGO
Active Research * Lightware
Alation * Liquid Audio
Avio Digital * Media Stations
Compaq Computer Corp [NYSE:CPQ - news]. * NetFlix
Echelon * Nuvo Media
Eastman Kodak Co [NYSE:EK - news]. * Replay Networks
Electric Communities * Vadem
Global Converging Technologies * Iready
Hewlett-Packard Co [NYSE:HWP - news]. * TiVo
Hitachi, America, Ltd., Computer

Division, Multimedia Products * TeleCruz

* JAMtv

''Digital Living Room Pavilion at CES gives companies of all sizes the opportunity to be get added
exposure and demonstrate their products in a format that is available nowhere else at CES,''
Coursey said. ''The success of our Digital Living Room conference last year offered proof to the
market's strong interest in new products for the tomorrow's digital consumer, so we felt that teaming
with CEMA at CES was natural for us.''

Open Q DOes this mean that TiVo is heavily funded by HWP, Replay by Eastman Kodak?
