Yuletime summary of Turbodylution's failures for 1998: Let's recall some of them. I'm sure I'll miss quite a few: The hoopla over Detroit Diesel, which in fact never yielded hard purchase orders. Purported deal with Germany's largest turbocharger maker, in which large sums of money were mentioned, which has never turned into any sales. Press releases about all kinds of companies and countries where turbothingies were being tested. None of them turned into sales. The audio recording of the interview with Halimi, on the company website last spring and summer, which predicted $200 M of turbothingy sales in 1998. The Halimi interview in Frankfurt in late summer, in which he predicted a scaled-down guidance $100 M of turbothingy sales in 1998. In fact there have been almost none. The same Frankfurt interview, in which Halimi said that Trans Business Group was going to buy and pay for the Russian turbothingies despite the Russian financial crisis because Trans is a strong company. In fact the customer doesn't have any dollars, and isn't likely to find any in the foreseeable future. The SEC filings that said that the Russian shipments would begin in the Sept. 98 quarter if financing can be found. The SEC filings a quarter later that said that the Russian shipments would begin in the Dec. 98 quarter can be found. Oh, by the way, 4 shopping days left before the end of the quarter for Turbodylution to find somebody to buy turbothingies.
