Oooooops! Madeleine Albright is a fan of Xena. She, Bill C and others are the ones who leaned on Saddam, now on Libya. Charlene Barshefsky uncle Tom Cobbly and all are lining up to back Q! in the battle of WWeb. Not messing about, waiting too long. They are making a pre-emptive strike.

It sure is heating up and I'm sure the USA government have checked the IPR to ensure they aren't backing a total losing position. A bit embarrassing for the USA to start a trade war over IPR which isn't even owned by a USA company. So they must think there is a bona fide case that Q! does indeed own some rights.

They'll be keen to show the administration is backing the USA WWeb standard despite the impeachment process. Let's face it, the USA invented Aparnet, the internet, the precursor to the Web and now the Europeans are trying to hijack the wireless version of it.

Imagine Ericy share price if Xena puts 100% tariff on all they sell or takes possession of all Ericy USA property in retaliation. This could be a LOT of fun.

I can't find an announcement anywhere that Ericy or Q! came to an arrangement today, so that is another prediction gone west!

PS: Personally, I quite like the sound of concatenated Reed-Solomon convolutional orthogonality instead of Turbo. SurferM, you could do some two stick bathtub analysis of wave propagation to see which waves go faster and form a better curl.

Ok, over and out - had more than my share of rant...

Perry, any luck with the Chinese report:
--------------------------------------------------------
...I believe that those who understand the technology (including the majority of the vendors) will tell you that CDMA2000 provides performance advantages. (I will post the Chinese analysis if i get a copy of it.)...
--------------------------------------------------------

Also, you said:
--------------------------------------------------------
...One final item. I am still trying to get approval from the author to publish the GSM royalty arrangements on the CDG website cdg.org
I will see if I can get that on in the next few weeks.
--------------------------------------------------------
Any progress?

Any more comments?

As expected, the ITU doesn't want to be out of business so the fake deadline passed with barely a ripple. WWeb can run economically only on QUALCOMM's CDMA, so like a patient fisherman, we can wait until NTT, Ericy and pals get hungry. When they are really hungry they'll be very pliable. Meanwhile, cdmaOne service providers are eating their lunch.

Thanks,
