Thread,

Ingram Micro (IM) predicted softer earnings yesterday. Given that this Christmas season was a booming one for PCs (as evident from INTC's running out of chips and AMD's projected revenue numbers), could it be that CPQ's direct sell program is slowly becoming successful? This, combined with the other posts in the thread about white box makers feeling the pinch of tighter CPU supplies, is just as a few on the thread predicted, that the distributors and white box makers will be the first casualties in the shift from retail to direct.

At this point I think that rudedog's prediction of booming 4th quarters for DELL and CPQ is largely a given. I will be getting into some Feb spreads for both these companies today.
