What has CPQ CEO sold vs DELL CEO, perhaps you can post the data for last year or so. Actual dollars or percentages is OK.

I presume you have the data ready at hand as you have been performing this detailed CPQ vs DELL analysis.

We know that MD sold about a billion to fund his new high tech venture capital firm.

We know he sold a billion for some reason. We know he is starting a venture firm. Maybe those things are related, maybe not.

We have no idea what reason the CPQ executives had for selling, but we can say for sure that their sales are small in absolute terms in comparison to MSD's sales.

I don't think insider sales have much if anything to do with those executives' opinion of the future of the stock price - sometimes there are tax reasons, sometimes its part of a diversification strategy, there are many reasons why it would be prudent to sell some of their holdings.

But at least you should apply the same standards to DELL insider sales as to CPQ.
