Well a thoroughly miserable year for the small natural resource sector is about over with and good riddance.i doubt if there is a single stock on the entire si natural resource bb is higher today than it was a year ago and most i expect are down as minus 10 baggers.the sensible thing a year ago would have been to sell everything out and wait for better times .clearly the strtaegy of holding and hoping that this bear market would turn around was the wrong one.right now it is impossible to see light at the end of the tunnel and as far as i can see i see no end in sight with the world awash in commmodities of all types.
i have gradually been reducing my exposure to this sector but made the mistake of being too slow as a result residual holdings in small vse stocks are now virtually worthless and undergoing reverse splits.it would be interesting to know from any old timers how long these bear markets go on for .i for one have learnt my lesson and have absolutely no intention of ever commiting any further money to this sector .i have just made a bunch of manipulators and scam artists a bunch of money as they manipulated this new media on the internet to their own advantage.when you read something on a bb like this one has a tendency to believe what one is told and many of the scams propagated on these bbs were very convincing.anyway i am a year older ,poorer and wiser.
when my grandfather died in england some years ago in his estate were a few worthless gold stocks from south africa so i guess every generation is caught by the glitter of small gold stocks only to loose it all .
a merry christmas and happy new year to all .arh
