Carl and all, Noticed today that kurlack had raised estimates and figured if he could eat crow, so could I. I sold a substantial stake in intel eariler this year in the low 80's because of the opportunity to take my gains without tax -- my basis being down around about 25 or so. At this point, that clearly looks like an error even though my re-investments have done quite well. As soon as I heard that Kurlack had admitted defeat, I came immediately to this thread because I knew that the howls of delight would ring loudly. I miss coming here. I ran across the old issue of Worth recently where we were all quoted a few years back. Those were great days. This thread is the best and worst of the web at times -- mostly it is the best. Overshot 100% YTD gain by a mile!>> When my wife woke me up with the news that intc was up 5 on ml upgrade, my first thought was carl made up that .3%, or whatever, he needed for a double. And I thought I was having a good year. Clobbered the S&P, the Dow and every mutual fund I know of and I still can't beat the humble one. Congratulations and hope 99 is better!!
