Mr. Mehr Mr. Kurlak should of had some of your humility back when he was lying about Intel's demise. Now he's pumping it up for a nice short some time in the middle of the Q1 99.

Once a lie always a lie!

Carl,

RE: My prayers have been answered! Overshot 100% YTD gain by a mile!

Prayer and money in the same breath? Strange mix. I hope all that money doesn't destroy your humbleness. It's not worth it.

Carl and all,

Noticed today that kurlack had raised estimates and figured
if he could eat crow, so could I. I sold a substantial
stake in intel eariler this year in the low 80's because
of the opportunity to take my gains without tax -- my basis
being down around about 25 or so. At this
point, that clearly looks like an error even though my
re-investments have done quite well. As soon as I heard
that Kurlack had admitted defeat, I came immediately to
this thread because I knew that the howls of delight would
ring loudly.

I miss coming here. I ran across the old issue of Worth
recently where we were all quoted a few years back. Those
were great days. This thread is the best and worst of the
web at times -- mostly it is the best.

Regards all and happy holidays,

J

carl Ichan, I mean mehr:

re <<My prayers have been answered! Overshot 100% YTD gain by a mile!>>

When my wife woke me up with the news that intc was up 5 on ml upgrade, my first thought was carl made up that .3%, or whatever, he needed for a double.

And I thought I was having a good year. Clobbered the S&P, the Dow and every mutual fund I know of and I still can't beat the humble one.

Congratulations and hope 99 is better!!

Best Regards,

Greg Gimelli
