Gottfried, Merrill Lynch said it raised its near and long-term rating on shares of INTEL CORP (123-5/16, up 4-1/4 @ 9:49 ET) to accumulate from neutral. Yes, and from our past indications AMAT normally follows INTC in a delayed fashion. IMO, this is good news for those holding AMAT. I am a little concerned regarding the lack of AMAT hitting 47 on this last upturn to 46 before reversing again today to 42 at this time of the day, but the day is not over. It could hit 47 before the end of the day. Paul V.
