MB,

There is a euphoria in the market that I cannot and will not accept. Of course, that means I miss the 80 point jump in UBID over the last 2 days. I don't want to sound like a broken and bitter old man, but I'm beginning to feel like one. We're either all a bunch of idiots or the world will have a nasty surprise very soon.

Have a great holiday. Will be in your neck of woods for the weekend. LOL, maybe I'll see you at the track.

mike

"This bodes poorly for overpriced fluff like Charles Schwab."

I'm still trying to figure out what happened here. What has changed for Schwab in the last two months?

The internet fairy must have officially declared it a tulip <g>.

Do you think it will rise further before popping? I'm trying to figure out when to pull the trigger.

Things are not going nearly as well in the mutual fund or the brokerage industry as one would expect

Mike,

Saw another article today on how the online discount brokers are performing extremely well. My guess is that Schwabb will have to drop online commissions from their current $29 (I think) to the mid teens. Ameritrade was up early today as was E-trade. NITE, the MM for many of the online brokers is on quite a run as well.

How do you think the market will react if Schwab lowers online commissions?

Shane

Mike;

I was reading your posts about 3 to 4 years ago at Prodigy (MU tread).
You were right about MU at the time.

I am negative in the semi's, and wanted to know how far out I should buy the puts, and which strik price?
I am thinking of buying puts on MXIM, and KLAC

Also what do you think of DIS as a long position.

thanks
