Tough to say without knowing more Emmo.

I would suggest digging around to see if you can find an announcement with a little more detail. Occasionally you can find multiple versions of the same press release. If all else fails, email both companies and ask for more details on the engine arrangement. That's how I got my contact at the NMMA and my new contact at CARB. You just don't know, and sometimes you have to buck up for phone calls.

My guess is that Kawasaki has decided to do a joint venture to build some engines. Most of those little ATV's have gone 4S, but are still running carburetors. Likely next step probably EFI, then cat, then DFI. Cats and carbs aren't a good combination because if the fuel mix goes rich you'll ruin the cat. And a dirty air filter, common in ATV use, is an easy way to do that. Using EFI to monitor the exhaust is the only surefire way to avoid that. You're right about this deal though; since Kawasaki didn't employ Ficht for 99, this door remains cracked. And an arrangement between Kawasaki and Sundiro can only help.
