conf. call. i listened and here's a couple quick comments.

1. they will definitely announce strategic plans in a few weeks and those don't include an acquisition so, i guess the options are accepting an exisiting offer or a major restructuring to stay independent. because they were so definite about making the announcement so soon and the stock has shown such support today, i'm guessing they are weighing one or two offers.
2. they did paint a somewhat brighter picture going forward saying that many of the projects that were on hold because of y2k and budget restrictions seem to be moving forward. they said the focus seems to be moving more toward competitiveness issues which is good because i have several ERP cos. that i've bought recently believing that many mid-size cos. will have to move soon.
3. they also said europe is a strong market right now.

not to diminsih the bad q, but i also think the cbs market watch story was quite slanted and i think the reporter was venting his wrath at being restricted on the call. also, so far the only downgrade i've seen so far was First Albany and they downgraded I2 as well so the CBS story is off a little bit there.

all in IMHO.
