Tenchusatsu - Re: " If you didn't know already, Intel in Israel also does some development work. One of my coworkers, a very good friend of mine, got to go to Israel this past September to support the tools that those developers use. "

I know Intel Israel has developed the MMX and KNI instruction sets and contributed almost all of the software development for Microsoft's DirectX 6.1 KNI and Pentium II instruction support.

The Pentium MMX was designed in Israel and I believe the fully integrated Timna (Spelling ?) CPU/Graphics/Chip Set is being designed there as well.

Please let us know what other developments from Intel Israel you are aware of.

Paul

Tench,

Well I just loaded up on 100 AMD July 40 call contracts at 2 1/2.

Looks like I am the only idiot buying.

Hopefully we won't drop too much more based on Intels pricing moves.

With such gret deals from AMD/Cyrix and now Intel I am betting that PC volumes will continue to grow rapidly next year. There seems to be lots of price vs volume elasticity.

Regards,

Kash
