Kurlak's scorecard:

Downgrade issued in Aug '97: INTC price--92 S&P--925
Upgrade issued in Dec '98: INTC price--123 S&P--1215

INTC performance--34%
S&P performance--34%

Looks like Kurlak's rating of "market performer" during this period was pretty accurate.

Kurlak seemed to want to prove a point - that he, Tom Kurlak, understood Intel's business better than Intel understood it.

I guess he proved himself wrong....again.
