<I don't know about the rest of you guys on this message board. But I couldn't care less about the chips, AMD vs INTC, speeds and so on. But I love AMD for daytrading made a nice short sale this morning on 3000 shares at 28 11/16 and covered 40 minutes later at 27 3/8. Also, had a nice short and cover, and a buy and sell yesterday as well.

Does anyone else trade this stock besides yak about it?>

Well, it's also fun to yak about this stock.

You are right, though. There are tons of other factors involved besides benchmarks and processor speeds. If you can swim through the posts that don't seem important to you, you will find valuable info on CPU pricing, manufacturing capacity (Dresden fab), OEM confidence in AMD as a supplier, factors of AMD's success in sub-$1000 market (low prices), and AMD's attempts to move upwards into new markets like servers and workstations.

As for daytrading, I personally will wait until 1999 before looking for an opportunity to buy in again.
