Big Bull:

This isn't the wrath of God on oil bears but it could bring on further cooperation from other OPEC members.

CARACAS, Venezuela - Venezuela said it will implement the last phase of cutting crude output by 525,000 barrels a day in January, fulfilling its agreement with other oil-producing nations seeking to boost world oil prices. Venezuela currently produces between 80,000 barrels and 100,000 barrels of oil a day more than its pledged output of 2.845 million barrels. The country, along with other OPEC nations, agreed in June to cut oil production.

If you are counting on weather to bail these stocks out, you may be disappointed. What this sector needs is a much more favorable demand/supply ratio for oil. It's going to take huge increases in demand from Asia and others and a significant decrease in supply from all exporters to turn this thing around. I don't see that happening within the next 6 months.

I'm thinking we may be on the brink of previously un-forseen and undreamed of lows due to lack of profitability, as opposed to the major decreased profitability that has already occurred and priced in to these stocks. I forsee some of these companies actually going under before this is over.

I guess I interpret my weekly charts differently than you do.

As far as being a nimble trader (not your comment I know), I'm getting more nimble as I gain experience.

But, it would not be the first time I've been wrong on my trades. It would however be the first time I've been wrong on the bearish side.
