<<OT>> Harry, I have to break in here and tell you that I have been a 'fan' of ADSL since 12/95 and chose to take the ADSL ride with AMTX, which was bought out by TXN. I am biased towards ADSL. I have hoped that it would have been offered to me by now, since I am a Bell Atlantic customer and they are rolling out the service. They have no date for my area as yet. I think they will be charging $150/mo for 1.0Mb. Last week I bit the bullet and connected on line via my local cable company. I was one of those holdouts who never bought cable so I had to take that also. I am paying $39.95/mo for the Family cable, which I have no time to view since I now can move around the Internet at lightening speeds. Most of the time it is really like changing the channel on my old rotary dial TV. It's almost in an instant... I am in the process of canceling my dedicated phone line ($18/mo) and my account with ATT Worldnet($20/mo). Hope this helps... Ed...

Harry,, What I have notice in the DSL/Cable Modem price debate, people are comparing apples to oranges. I.E. Cable Unlimited Access $20 High Speed Access $20 Plus the Phone bill which isn't figured $20 DSL Unlimited Access $20 High Speed Access $20 Phone $20 I am not saying some DSL access providers aren't extremely out in left field, but a number of the ILEC packages compare real close to cable pricing all things considered. By the way Guys I am on my way to Jacksonville FLA to watch my beloved Jacket cream some domers......
