Hey, hey, you can't have the last word!!! :o) What you are saying(I think) is that any Christian could not be be a racist and hatemonger if he follows the principles embedded in Christianity. I am saying I could not. Isnt it mentioned somewhere in the Bible that believeing that HE is the only way is the only thing necessary? Somewhere? Where? I will let you find it. How can they be shown heaven's door before ghandi, only because they called god by a different name? God not god. God God. :o) I don't remember God asking me about Ghandi....hmmmmm.... I did hear once that Ghandi said this about Christianity " If the lost saw Christ in Christians, they would accept Him; as it is the lost see Christians in Christ and reject Him." I have that taped to my lamp here by my computer to remind me, as a Christian, that I need to be both salt and light. And not hate.. dan

Dear Mark, I asked myself what does it mean to believe in Jesus? That is the key IMO. He said things like "if you love me keep my commands" the one command that he added to the 10 was "love others as I have loved you". I do not venture to determine the eternal condition of anyone but desire to share this pearl of great value I have found in Yeshua. That was one of his parables about finding the kingdom of God is like a man that finds a pearl of great value in a field and he goes and sells everything he has to buy that field to gain the pearl. There is a lot of depth even in this little parable. I know other people have their faith that is real to them but I desire to bring others to that field to see the pearl so they can acquire it. In the last book of the Bible (Revelation) Yeshua says he is coming back and will give to every man according to what he has done. What will the KKK get:-0 Nancy

Dear Mark; Seasons greetings; Please allow me to add my own slant on the issue you are discussing. If a person truly believes in Jesus then an adoption takes place. God literally becomes the Father of the individual. The Bible promises that if this occurs the Father takes on the role of disciplining His children. Hebrews 12:6-8 FOR THOSE WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE DISCIPLINES, AND HE SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES. It is for discipline that you endure; God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? But if you are without discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. We are told not to judge. I believe it is because we cannot possibly have enough information to judge anyone. However, if a person uses the name of the Lord and then acts in a manner which shames God, he promises to discipline them. I have experiened this and it is not fun. God's way in the end has led to greater happiness for me and therefore I understand that His discipline is best. I also know that a true child of God will could not resist a change of heart for long as it will lead to misery and difficulty in life. The truth of God's love means He will be a loving parent and he will raise loving children, He has taken the reponsibility on Himself. Obviously this is a rather complicated and fascinating issue.
