In football they have official score keepers. They can tell you precisely Dan's third down conversion rate or effectiveness inside the red zone. But, Kurlak's stats are hard to get at.

But in a way, he is a lot like professional athletes - he still gets paid huge sums even when he no longer produces. Not to pat myself on the back or anything (I'm afraid I'll break my arm) - but I could have saved him all this embarrassment, if only he had asked:

Do you or anyone have the split history for INTC? I was expecting a split next summer, but my sense is that it could come sooner.

PS: Oh, the two semi analysts at Merrill Lynch finally talked to each other.
