*OFF TOPIC* Some general market commentary from briefing.com mid afternoon. FWIW 15:00 ET Dow +97, Nasdaq +32, S&P +14.27: Every dip being met by enthusiastic buying, and most recent retreat off the highs proved no exception... Major market indices paused briefly to digest the early surge and now buyers have their appetite back... Lack of selling pressure is amazing in light of scope and speed of the advance off the October 8 lows... Seasonals really helping to sustain the advance, and given that bias is expected to remain bullish through mid-January (using history as a gauge) no reason to bet against the prevailing trend... That said, market continues to flash a few warnings signs - deteriorating market breadth, historically high bullish sentiment readings (contrary indicator), growing divergence between DJIA and DJTA and excessive valuations... Creating the foundation for a nasty post-holiday hangover... But for the short-term anyway market looks all good.
