JP,
"""I think the CS Boston downgrade was made so they can help their own chances of getting in before the stock got even more out"""

It happens all the time. A well known SEC investigation found Fido (Fidelity Fund) guilty of a multi billion dollar fraud. They reported in the news one thing and were doing the exact opposite. This resulted in a whopping big fine of $10,000. The penalty is nothing compared to what they can make in the market. In the case of AOL, no one is listening to the analyst because the market is in control of the stock. Investors realize that AOL is the only internet play that makes sence. It's a pure play and they have income.
