Average daily volume is something like 8.5 million shares. All it takes is a little help from an analyst (price target, $700!) and 60 million shares will be swallowed like that. And Yahoo will end up at $800.

Take it from someone who's lost a chunk betting against AMZN.. there are better stocks out there to short. Many are even discussed on threads here on SI.. Don't join the dark side..

James.

Today's Wall Street Journal article "The SEC's top enforcement official said the agency plans to bring several civil cases against public companies in the next few months as part of a campaign against accounting fraud."

Many people think many internet companies are very aggressive in their accounting. Hope they will become less aggressive in the face of SEC anti-fraud campaign. Such campaigns are long overdue! It is becoming harder and harder to know how much a company really makes or spends.
